A bustling brunch spot that's clearly popular, packed with people when we visited. We ordered the eggs and bacon Benedict, which was flavorful and satisfying, and the morning breakfast croissant with a sunny-side egg, sliced ham, and Swiss cheese. The croissant was also delicious, with a great balance of flavors and textures. Aesthetic spot with a great setup, the food displays make choosing easy! The interior is nice, and the service is efficient. You order at the counter, grab a number, and find a seat yourself. The food will be delivered to your table. I tried the Foreigner Favorite and a Red Velvet Latte. Both were yummy, I shared the Foreigner Favorite with a friend. Nice place with good vibes!

My husband and I came here initially to do some wedding planning a couple years ago. The yema and Ube lattes is why we kept coming back. Now, I pick it as a brunch leet up place for friends. It has a great vibe and that small town feel. I love how easy it is to order and how good the coffee is.

A nice casual brunch spot! Came on a Wednesday morning and it wasn't too busy, you order at the counter and they bring your food to your table. I ordered a London fog and the tuna melt croffle. I felt that my drink was a bit bland, but the croffle was packed with a surprising amount of tuna. I enjoyed the sauce they had on it too. It was a bit noisy inside, but the tables were bussed quickly and had plenty of seating. A good place to meet with friends!

Good!! We came at around 12:30 on a Sunday and we maybe spent 15 minutes in line. You order at the register then get a buzzer to be placed at your table so they know where to bring the food. There is ample seating inside and a few places outside. I got the Sexy French Toast. The fruit was nice and fresh. The actual toast was drier than I expected it to be but still had good flavor for the price. There isn't a huge chocolate flavor in the toast either. I would come back to try some of their savory options which also looked good.

Friendly staff. Decent menu size for a coffee bar. Good selection of breakfast items and light lunch as well. Large open space with lots of seating.

Foreigner in San Mateo is a fantastic spot for a Sunday breakfast! The food is delicious, the coffee hits all the right notes, and the star of the show is definitely their croffle. It's so good, it's reason enough to come back. The order process is simple: you head to the counter, place your order, and pay. Then you're handed a fancy shmancy buzzer that impressively guides the staff to your table when the food is ready. The system is smooth, and the service is great. Foreigner offers a delightful breakfast experience with great food and smooth service. If you're in San Mateo, don't miss out, especially on that croffle!
